ECF is a 2-day event for eCampaigners and fundraisers to come together to connect, share, learn.

Most of the agenda is shaped around you, as participants set the topics of the Open Space sessions together. Are you wondering how testing could make your email list work harder, how you can make your campaign target really notice your campaign, or how the latest technology can help you reach new donors? Whatever your questions, the ECF is a fantastic opportunity to answer them, together with skilled practitioners from across Europe.

It’s also a great chance to hear new and exciting ideas that could boost your campaigning and fundraising impact. There will also be two keynote speakers to inspire ideas and discussion.

Digital political campaigning

Is gathering data with door-to-door apps possible within the EU privacy directive? How did the new right construct their echo chambers? Who used dark ads in Social Media? At last year's ECF Juri presented some examples of how new campaigning tech was being used in the US presidential race - this year he'll be looking at how some of these campaigning techniques have been adapted in countries with higher privacy standards like France (especially the Macron campaign) and in countries with a proportional representation system like Germany.

Pierre will pull together best practice principles and examples to help you think about how to design a great email, improve open and click-through rates, and increase subscribers to build a healthy, active list, followed by a chance to share experience.

Design! Tips & tricks to know what to look for when you're working with designers / for designing like a pro yourself

There are some rules and guidelines for design that graphic designers keep up our sleeves - and knowing them will make your own designs look more professional. These rules will help even with super simple things that you're doing in Canva or Word, like social media graphics or report documents. Even if you never design anything yourself, knowing these guidelines will help you to know the difference between good and bad design - very handy when you're paying designers! Short presentation with lots of pretty pictures and some ugly ones too, and time for questions and discussion.

Using play to unlock creative campaigning

It's easy to get stuck in the rut of the day to day – as campaigners we need to find ways to gain new perspectives and think differently about the issues where we want to see change. In this creative workshop Amber will take us through some creative exercises (yes, there will be clay, pasta shapes and possibly tinfoil) that you can use to get your teams thinking differently.

Reaching the right audiences to smash your campaign objectives

Reaching the right audiences is essential to win campaigns. Even more important is delivering messages that will resonate and motivate. Using campaign and organisational objectives as a starting point, this workshop will explore how to identify the audiences you need, how to reach them, and what to say when you get there. We’ll work on practical examples to develop key messages and communication tactics, so if there’s a campaign you’re currently working on, bring it along!
